Deliver speed, flexibility, ISO 20022 support

Transactility Inc., the company behind the open-source card payments framework jPOS, released jPOS 3, calling it a significant upgrade that positions the platform at the forefront of modern payment infrastructure. Trusted by many of the world's largest issuers, acquirers and payment schemes, jPOS has underpinned critical transaction systems for over two decades, the company noted.

With jPOS 3, Transactility brings ISO 20022 compatibility to its widely used framework, aligning with emerging financial messaging standards and empowering payment players to transition toward real-time and instant payments while relying on the proven jPOS ecosystem. In addition, the company stated, jPOS 3 delivers up to 20,000 transactions per second on standard hardware, a substantial performance leap that supports high-volume, latency-sensitive networks.

Built on the latest Java stack, the new release introduces structured logging and real-time metric tracking, streamlining regulatory compliance and improving fault detection.

Scalability and observability enhancements further strengthen the platform's capabilities, making it an ideal choice for institutions looking to modernize legacy infrastructure or replace rigid, proprietary systems, jPOS pointed out.

"jPOS is a proven, 25-year-old framework adopted worldwide by some of the biggest names in payments," said Alejandro Revilla, the original creator of jPOS and founder of Transactility.

"With jPOS 3, we're raising the bar—delivering speed, scalability, ISO 20022 compliance, and unmatched ease of use for developers."

jPOS mentioned it continues to stand out through its open architecture and developer-friendly design, enabling teams to rapidly implement and customize payment systems with full source code transparency, reducing vendor dependencies and development time.

The update also strengthens Transactility's broader product suite, including jPTS (jPOS Transaction Switch) and jCard, which provide efficient connectivity and card management capabilities.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Florida, Transactility supports payment systems in over 120 countries. Its solutions offer a unique blend of speed, flexibility and transparency, helping fintechs and enterprises facilitate reliable, cost-effective transaction processing, jPOS added.
