Stop chargebacks before they happen
Chargebase debuted a chargeback-prevention platform designed to help ecommerce and SaaS merchants detect and resolve payment disputes before they escalate into chargebacks. The platform provides unified access to alerts from the Verifi and Ethoca networks, allowing merchants to receive real-time notifications when a customer initiates a dispute with their bank, Chargebase stated.
When a dispute becomes a chargeback, businesses typically lose not only the transaction amount but also the product, shipping or fulfillment costs and additional chargeback fees. Excessive chargeback ratios can also threaten a merchant's ability to maintain payment processing relationships. By responding quickly, often by issuing a refund, businesses can prevent the dispute from becoming a chargeback.
"Verifi and Ethoca alerts are highly effective in letting you refund a transaction before it becomes a chargeback," said Serhii Zubakhin, client partner at Chargebase. "But accessing them traditionally meant dealing with multiple vendors, complex integrations and premium fees. Chargebase was built to fix this, making chargeback prevention accessible to everyone."
Automation reduces manual dispute handling
Chargebase automates the alert-resolution process from end to end. The platform automatically matches alerts to orders and manages backend communications with the Verifi and Ethoca networks, reducing the manual workflows merchants often use to manage disputes, Chargebase stated.
Merchants can configure custom workflows, notification preferences and integrations. The automation-first architecture is intended to help merchants reduce operational overhead while responding more quickly to emerging disputes.
Chargebase emphasized that the platform helps merchants reduce chargebacks, protect merchant accounts from exceeding typical chargeback thresholds, and scale their operations without risking payment processing disruptions.
Transparent pricing model
To remove cost barriers, Chargebase also has a pay-per-alert pricing structure designed to make chargeback-prevention tools accessible to businesses at various stages of growth. Merchants pay only when a valid alert is received that helps them resolve or avoid a dispute, the company affirmed, adding that it does not charge for duplicate or false alerts or require setup fees, monthly minimums or long-term commitments.
Chargebase is available to merchants of all sizes. For further details, please visit www.chargebase.co.
