New ATMIA award to spotlight ATM innovation across Europe, emerging markets

The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) is proud to announce the launch of the ATMIA Game Changer Award, a new industry recognition designed to celebrate bold innovation that’s reshaping the ATM landscape across Europe and Emerging Markets.
This prestigious award is open to organizations driving transformational change in ATM technology, services, or strategy within Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India, or Pakistan. Eligible applicants include ATM hardware/software providers, banks and financial institutions, ATM deployers/operators, as well as fintech and payment companies connected to ATM infrastructure.
“We’re seeing some of the most exciting, forward-thinking developments happening in markets that are hungry for innovation,” said Lonnie C. Talbert, CEO at ATMIA. “The Game Changer Award is our way of recognizing those who aren’t just keeping up—they’re leading the way.”
ATMIA is seeking submissions that exemplify game-changing excellence across key dimensions, including:
Innovation & Originality – Breakthrough ideas and bold new approaches Market Impact – Measurable business outcomes or advances in financial inclusion Technology Advancement – Integration of cutting-edge tech like AI, biometrics, blockchain, or IoT Customer Experience – Enhancements in user convenience, speed, and accessibility Scalability & Sustainability – Solutions built for long-term growth and regional relevance Nominations are open now and must be submitted by September 8. One winner will be announced on the morning of October 14 at the ATMIA EEM25 Summit, honoring their contribution to the ongoing transformation of the ATM industry across these fast-evolving markets.
