Transact + CBORD Names Greg Brown as CEO, Announces Rebrand to Illumia

New leadership and unified brand identity mark final phase of post-merger integration

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(Dec. 3) -- Transact + CBORD, an award-winning leader in innovative higher education, healthcare and senior living technology, announced the appointment of Greg Brown as Chief Executive Officer, beginning January 5, 2026. The company also revealed it will rebrand as Illumia in March 2026.

Greg Brown is a veteran SaaS leader with more than 25 years of experience guiding technology companies through hypergrowth and major strategic milestones. Most recently, he served as CEO of Udemy, where he led the company's evolution from a consumer learning marketplace into a $750M+ enterprise learning platform and advanced the company's AI strategy by integrating generative AI across its learning products. Previously, Brown served as CEO of Reflektive and held senior leadership roles at Blackhawk Network, Achievers, and WebEx. He currently serves on the boards of Splice and Sprout Social.

"Greg’s deep commitment to customer success, combined with his track record of scaling SaaS businesses and driving operational excellence, makes him the ideal leader for this next chapter," said Harold Flynn, Group Executive at Roper Technologies. "As Illumia, this business is positioned to be the definitive technology partner for higher education and healthcare institutions, and we're confident he will accelerate that vision." "Illumia sits at the intersection of mission-critical operations and meaningful human experiences—dining halls, campus access, patient care, tuition payments; moments that shape how people feel about the brands they're part of," said Brown. "My career has been built on helping software and payments organizations deliver for their customers through technology, and Illumia is a unique opportunity to do both at scale.”

The businesses—which merged in August 2024 when Roper Technologies acquired Transact Campus, Inc. and combined it with existing Roper business CBORD—now share a unified identity bringing formerly separate platforms and teams under a single, shared innovation strategy. The name Illumia reflects the company’s commitment to bringing clarity, intelligence, and innovation to every experience it powers, illuminating pathways for its customers by elevating the moments that matter. It also unifies employees under a shared identity that strengthens collaboration and supports a culture of innovation.

The new brand visual identity will be formally unveiled in March 2026 at the company’s annual conference at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
