According to James Shepherd, founder and CEO of ISOamp, and Eric Jenks, national sales manager at PayTrace, plenty of savings can be had from analyzing merchant statements with an eye toward optimizing interchange qualifications. And PayTrace, a processor with a focus on interchange optimization, recently partnered with ISOamp, the merchant sales technology arm of CCSalesPro, to debut a new interchange optimization tool.

Gas station operators with automated fuel dispensers gained more time to make those dispensers EMV compliant. Their deadline for EMV compliance is now April 2021. Visa, Discover and American Express all recently extended their deadlines; Mastercard is expected to soon follow. Most card-accepting businesses were required to be EMV compliant by 2015.
Gas stations were given an additional two years to bring their automated fuel dispensers into compliance because of the cost and technological complexities associated with retrofitting or replacing pumps.
The National ATM Council Inc. took action to support the retail ATM industry during the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to helping secure essential worker status for independent ATM deployers and service providers, the not-for-profit trade association is working with private and government sectors to provide consumers and business owners with fundamental services and safe access to cash.
"To think that only 2 to 3 months ago our biggest concern was upgrading machines," NAC chair George Sarqntopoulos. "Now we need to figure out as an industry how we move ahead in a 'new normal,' for our collective wellbeing."
