Product: Payouts
Company: dLocal LLP
Fintech company dLocal enhanced its Payouts solution, which is designed to facilitate localized payments and direct deposits to sellers and partners throughout the Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.
"dLocal provides solutions for international companies in emerging markets," said Rodrigo Sánchez Prandi, vice president, product at dLocal. "We partner with merchant acquirers and leading global brands to process payments in local markets where citizens do not always use credit cards to pay for online goods and services."
Prandi additionally noted that dLocal experts who have deep knowledge of their respective markets serve channel partners and ecommerce service providers in developing regions worldwide. dLocal specialists innovate with partners, aligning with their product roadmaps to design optimal commerce solutions, he stated. Recent examples include a digital cards project in Mexico, where cash is strong, and working with Amazon to provide installment payments in Chile.
dLocal partners can deploy Payouts to distribute mass payments and high-value transactions in local currencies and preferred payments schemes. Funds are deposited directly into local bank accounts, according to dLocal representatives.
Additional benefits dLocal pointed out include local settlements that directly fund partners and contractors; expanded reach, which provides access to more than 600 banks in 21 countries; flexibility and control to configure and adapt payout amounts and frequency in convenient terms; data-driven insights, employing business analytics tools to view currency, country and payment type data via automated reports or dedicated dashboard; minimized risk by maintaining security and compliance with local laws; and simplified operations allowing users to integrate with the dLocal API, send batch files or schedule payouts manually through an online portal.
dLocal partners use the company's payments platform and API to manage pay-ins and payouts in Latin America and other emerging countries. The platform is adaptable to numerous local entities and ecommerce service providers, the company stated. By operating as a local payments processor in each region, dLocal helps merchants reach 2.3 billion consumers who shop online worldwide.
Prandi added that dLocal serves more than 450 global ecommerce retailers, SaaS companies, online travel provider, and marketplaces, and dLocal solutions have been particularly helpful in cash-dependent regions where physical stores have been shuttered during the coronavirus pandemic.
Describing the company's distribution strategy as the best of both worlds, Prandi said dLocal works with major enterprises: Uber, Netflix, Google, Avast, Banggood, Booking.com, Constant Contact, Didi, DropBox, GoDaddy, MailChimp, TripAdvisor, Uber, and Wikimedia. dLocal channel partners include acquirers, issuers, payment gateways, ISVs, ecommerce shopping carts, central banks and regulators in growth markets worldwide.
"We focus on customer satisfaction in every region," Prandi said. "We helped Uber pay drivers in Argentina, the third largest ecommerce market in Latin America. We organize payments to sellers in every country where they operate."
