Given the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines, many of us have renewed optimism for the future. Major challenges remain, of course, as the coronavirus continues to claim record numbers of people daily. But as we transition to 2021, the end is in sight. And just like payments companies expertly served merchants facing unprecedented closures, downturns and shifts in their businesses, our industry will rise to the occasion when companies ramp up in whatever the new normal turns out to be. The resiliency of the payments biz and the desire on the part of so many to not just earn a great living but to also be of service is another cause for optimism.
So, we bid farewell to 2020 with appreciation to professionals throughout the business we report on week in, week out. And we continue in this issue's lead article to share insights from members of our Advisory Board who took time from their busy schedules to convey what has worked for them and their clients during the pandemic and what plans they have going forward.
We also want to acknowledge the astute contributors who've shared their expertise within these pages.
