Product: Verified Version 2.4
Company: authID.ai
Mobile biometric identity authentication provider authID.ai updated its Verified platform to meet growing demand for convenient, seamless identity authentication. Verified version 2.4 delivers faster response times and artificial intelligence capabilities, the company stated.
Tom Thimot, CEO at authID.ai, pointed out that today's consumers need updated ways to verify and authenticate themselves at any point of interaction. "There's an old saying, hackers don't hack; they log in," he said. "Authentication is evolving from credit bureaus and passwords to tokens on personal devices."
Thimot described Verified as a facial biometric method that verifies identities via selfie capture on users' smart devices, providing an uninterrupted, protected customer experience across multiple channels and throughout all points of the customer journey - from system logins to online transactions, funds transfers, account changes and customer support requests.
It is no longer feasible for consumers and enterprises to rely on passwords to secure their accounts, Thimot stated. Passwords and other legacy authentication methods are insufficient protection against hackers, who can easily infiltrate and seize accounts through phishing, smishing, credential stuffing and other common tactics, he noted.
In today's connected world, it is critical to know with certainty who is accessing an account, requesting an account change, downloading company assets or wiring funds, Thimot stated. "Verified can help secure your assets and systems against password risks and fraud and authID.ai customers can access the solution via the Verified CloudConnect platform in an easy, no-code implementation," he said.
He cited the following Verified Version 2.4 enhancements to the browser-based user interface:
Jeremiah Mason, senior vice president of product at authID.ai, described the latest version of Verified as part of the company's vision of enabling every organization to recognize customers instantly, without friction or loss of privacy.
"The intuitive, low-friction and convenient verification experience, built by our expert team, establishes the highest level of assurance and mutual trust," he said. "We are committed to creating best-in-class, cloud-native security solutions and to scaling this cyber infrastructure to help customers across virtually any market segment combat the risks of password and identity fraud."
Mason went on to say that authID.ai aims to deliver exceptional biometric identity authentication to businesses of all types, sizes and industries through its suite of self-service biometric identity proofing and authentication solutions. These solutions frictionlessly eliminate passwords through a consent-based facial matching system, powered by sophisticated biometric and artificial intelligence technologies, he added.
Today's consumers transact across a range of mobile and desktop devices. Verified, Mason stated, uses advanced biometric technologies to prevent skilled cybercriminals and credential-stuffing bots from infiltrating accounts and seizing assets, thereby helping organizations secure their platforms, data and users from fraud. By enabling users to verify their identities seamlessly with a simple selfie capture on smart devices they use every day, Verified Version 2.4 protects all points of the customer journey, mitigating fraud risk for both consumer and workforce use-cases, he added.
