Automate chargeback responses with AI
Findustry AI introduced Chargeback Agent, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to help merchants, payment facilitators and acquirers automate the chargeback management process and improve dispute response efficiency.
The new product uses AI models trained on card-network dispute rules to identify required evidence, draft response letters and streamline the representment process. According to the company, the platform can reduce manual review work while helping merchants respond to disputes before network deadlines expire.
Chargeback Agent gathers transaction information and supporting documentation through integrations and APIs, then matches evidence to specific card-network reason codes. The platform can automatically generate dispute response letters using language optimized for representment outcomes, while still allowing merchants to review, edit or approve submissions before they are sent, the company noted.
The launch comes as chargeback volumes continue to rise alongside growth in card-not-present commerce and increasingly complex dispute management requirements. Industry analysts project chargeback activity will continue climbing globally during the next several years as ecommerce and digital transactions expand.
Findustry AI said the platform can be configured with varying levels of automation depending on merchant preferences. For example, businesses may choose to allow Chargeback Agent to automatically handle lower-value disputes while routing larger or more complex cases for human review.
The company also emphasized the system's continuous learning capabilities. Human edits and adjustments to dispute responses are fed back into the platform's AI models to help improve future recommendations and response quality over time.
Findustry AI founder Jonathan Razi stated that the product was built specifically to address growing operational pressure surrounding dispute management and compliance with evolving card-network rules.
Chargeback Agent is available through payment facilitators and acquiring partners and is designed for merchants of varying sizes, including smaller businesses that may lack dedicated chargeback management teams. The company said merchants can also embed the technology within existing acquirer or processor portals.
The launch represents the first in what Findustry AI describes as a broader roadmap of AI-powered payment operations tools focused on automating traditionally manual workflows within the payments ecosystem. For more information, please visit findustryai.com.
