The hits keep coming from Merchant Sales Podcast
erchant Sales Podcast hosts CCSalesPro CEO James Shepherd and Patti
Murphy, senior editor at The Green Sheet Inc., always zero in on topics
that matter most to ISOs, merchant level salespeople and other merchant
M services providers striving to further their success in the payments biz.
Week after week they provide inside information on how you can enhance your offer-
ings, attract new business and retain customers long-term. Here are recaps of three recent
not-to-be-missed episodes:
• Selling pharmacies on payments and POS (live event recap): Many successful agents are competing
in their market, one vertical at a time. The pharmacy vertical has been largely untouched by the ISO
world for decades, because of a lack of integration partnerships. During this event, Ben Ross of Green
Payments explains how his company is selling into this vertical with success and building a profitable/
valuable portfolio. After all, the long-term winners in the agent/ISO community will be those who
focus on specific verticals/partners. This event highlights that approach in a practical way, using the
pharmacy vertical as an example for this approach.
• Getting CBD merchants approved and processing on Clover: Discover how PayBright is supporting
agents that want to board CBD merchants in James' featured interview with Dustin Magaziner. And
stick around for sales tips from Rich Norton, and Patti's reporting on just how merry the holiday
shopping season is expected to be.
• The 'Payment Princess' and interchange regulation: This episode starts off with an interview with
Jennifer May, known as the "Payment Princess," who discusses with James how she has built a personal
portfolio of 3,500+ merchant accounts and is still growing. Then Patti joins in to review the most recent
attempts to regulate interchange and the hearings on the hill that brought senators from both sides of
the aisle together, in opposition to the current interchange pricing structure.
