Take payments anywhere, no hardware needed

As merchants continue to look for ways to simplify operations without sacrificing capability, Kurv is positioning its newly launched Kurv Merchant App as a mobile-first hub for running and growing a business. The app arrives shortly after the company’s rebrand from Electronic Merchant Systems, reinforcing a broader push toward modernized, streamlined fintech tools designed for everyday use.

Less friction, more function

At its core, the Kurv Merchant App is built to remove friction both at checkout and behind the scenes. Business owners can accept payments immediately, generate invoices, send payment links via text or email, and create custom QR codes, all from a single interface, Kurv stated. Inventory tracking, campaign management, and real-time insights are also integrated into the app, giving merchants a centralized view of performance without toggling between systems.

A key differentiator is the app’s support for Tap to Pay on Android, complementing Kurv’s Tap to Pay on iPhone capability launched in May 2025. Once activated, the company noted, the feature allows merchants to turn a smartphone into a full point-of-sale device, accepting contactless payments without additional hardware.

Significant benefits

For small businesses, pop-up sellers, and service professionals, that means faster deployment, lower upfront costs, and fewer dependencies on physical terminals, Kurv pointed out.

Kurv’s approach reflects a broader industry trend toward software-driven acceptance models that prioritize flexibility. By enabling merchants to move between in-person, online and mobile selling environments, the app supports omnichannel commerce without forcing businesses into rigid workflows.

ACH and eCheck acceptance, failed payment recovery tools, and ecommerce checkout options further extend that flexibility, the company said.

Behind the technology is an emphasis on support and transparency. Kurv mentioned that it offers clear pricing, real-time reporting and 24/7 U.S.-based customer support, an increasingly important differentiator as merchants weigh automation against accountability.

AI-powered fraud prevention and instant decisioning are built in, helping businesses move quickly while managing risk.

Available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store, the Kurv Merchant App reflects a shift toward payments tools that adapt to merchants’ realities, meeting them where they are and helping them scale without adding complexity.
