Verify identity faster with no added friction

As digital onboarding becomes both more essential and more vulnerable, identity verification is under pressure to evolve. LexisNexis Risk Solutions said its enhanced version of LexisNexis IDVerse reflects that shift, combining advanced document and biometric verification with a streamlined user experience designed to meet rising fraud risks without slowing legitimate customers.

Fraudsters are increasingly using generative AI to create deepfakes, alter identification documents and fabricate synthetic identities.

Many organizations, however, still rely on fragmented identity tools, such as separate systems for device intelligence, behavioral analysis and document verification, that introduce gaps, cost, and friction. IDVerse is designed to consolidate those functions into a single, orchestrated workflow.

Stronger security, faster results

Built on proprietary AI models, IDVerse verifies government-issued photo IDs from more than 220 countries and territories, supporting over 140 languages and typesets.

Video-based document capture and document liveness checks help block manipulated or AI-generated images, while biometric face matching and liveness detection confirm legitimate ownership.

The goal is not just stronger security, but faster decisions, reducing average capture times from 12 seconds to near-instant results, the company affirmed.

LNRS pointed out that user experience plays a central role in the platform’s redesign. A streamlined six-screen verification flow removes unnecessary steps, reducing abandonment during onboarding. Features such as conceal mode, which hides the user’s image during selfie capture, are intended to make the process feel more natural while improving accuracy and accessibility.

Advanced depth perception models eliminate requirements like smiling, further reducing bias and friction, the company added.

A unified view

IDVerse is delivered through the LexisNexis Dynamic Decision Platform, giving organizations access to device risk detection, digital identity profiling, behavioral monitoring and fraud controls through a single API. This unified view allows teams to assess identity risk continuously, from onboarding through account access, rather than relying on one-time checks, LNRS noted.

For payments providers, financial institutions and digital commerce platforms, the enhanced IDVerse reflects a broader shift toward continuous, AI-driven trust frameworks.

By integrating deepfake defenses with intuitive design, the platform aims to help organizations protect users, reduce fraud losses and maintain confidence at every stage of the customer lifecycle.
