BHMI mourns the passing of CEO and Co-Founder Jack T. Baldwin, PhD
HMI is mourning the loss of its CEO and co-founder, Dr. Jack T. Baldwin,
who passed away on July 18, 2025, after battling leukemia. A pioneering
computer scientist, educator and entrepreneur, Jack co-founded BHMI in
B 1986 with his wife, Dr. Lynne J. Baldwin, and colleague Michael Meeks.
Under his visionary leadership, BHMI evolved into a global provider of mission-crit-
ical transaction processing solutions, including the widely used Concourse Financial
Software Suite. His career began in academia, followed by a successful stint at ACI
before BHMI's founding.
Known for his intelligence, compassion and integrity, Jack shaped BHMI’s culture of excellence. Dr. Lynne
Baldwin, BHMI president, and Michael Meeks, CTO, will continue leading the company, committed to preserving
Jack’s vision. Colleagues remember him as both a brilliant mind and a deeply principled individual.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jack was a dedicated conservationist and philanthropist, supporting
causes like The Nature Conservancy and the Nebraska Wildlife Rehab’s Baldwin Wildlife Center. His legacy will
live on through the company he built and the many lives he impacted.
Industry experts affirmed that ISO 20022 adoption is a
major step toward innovation, modernization and con-
sistency in the global financial ecosystem.
