Verify every identity with AI-powered remote review
Socure introduced Remote Verifier in its RiskOS platform, combining artificial intelligence with live-agent review to help organizations verify identities that cannot be approved through automated processes alone. The new capability is designed to extend identity verification coverage to virtually every applicant while reducing the delays, costs and friction often associated with manual identity checks.
According to Socure, its AI-powered verification infrastructure automatically verifies more than 99 percent of identities through passive and active methods. Remote Verifier is intended for the small percentage of individuals who either do not pass those initial checks, prefer not to use automated verification or require a manual review option.
Rather than relying on traditional video calls or standalone document reviews, Remote Verifier equips live reviewers with identity documents, explanations of why an automated verification failed, fraud intelligence, risk indicators and other identity insights generated by Socure's platform.
The company said the additional context enables agents to make faster, more accurate and evidence-based decisions while helping organizations maintain compliance and reduce customer friction.
The solution, which is available across multiple industries, includes features tailored for public sector agencies, where identity fraud can threaten government programs and taxpayer resources. Socure said legacy verification processes often require applicants to schedule video appointments or appear in person, creating delays for legitimate users while increasing operational costs.
The platform also provides organizations with tools to manage appointments, scheduling and the overall credential verification process from a single interface, replacing fragmented manual workflows.
Jordan Burris, head of public sector at Socure, said the new capability gives reviewers access to AI-driven fraud detection and identity intelligence, allowing them to make more informed decisions instead of reviewing documents in isolation. The company said the approach strengthens fraud prevention while improving the experience for individuals seeking access to government services.
Socure also revealed that Allocore will integrate Remote Verifier into its identity assurance solution. According to Allocore CEO Bill Webner, the companies' ongoing partnership has helped federal agencies block fraudulent activity while improving access for legitimate applicants.
